Who is this Dana Ayers?
"Witty, observant, and full of cringe-worthy confessions and heartwarming encouragement, Confessions celebrates both running and life. Part Bridget Jones, part Forrest Gump, Dana Ayers chronicles her awkward mishaps and adventures in transitioning from childhood bookworm to accidental accomplished athlete.
A self-proclaimed ambassador of slow runners, Ayers has completed dozens of endurance challenges, including Tough Mudder, the Ragnar Relay, Muddy Buddy, Warrior Dash, Run Amuck, the Army Ten-Miler, the Country Music Marathon, and many more mud runs, obstacles courses, and races.
For anyone who has considered trying a marathon, an obstacle race, or simply taking up running for the first time, Ayers is your ambassador. If she can do it, you can too."
I am excited to read this book and build a relationship with Ayers as I follow her on her fitness journey! I have always been a athlete. I ran both in my youth and during my undergrad in college. However, I am a sprinter. I am just learning to embrace the long run scene. Over this upcoming year, I will be having my own FIRST experiences with races. I hope I can find humor in my struggles the same way Dana has!
I will write a full book review when I complete the book! Read along with me and share insights by responding in the comments section!
This is the FIRST book of the Read&Run Book Club series! There will be many more! If you have a suggestion on a book to read please share that as well! Don't forget to follow me on Instagram for more running inspo! (@she.runs.this.world)
